Front page boo-boo.

I am officially OVER winter.

The other part of this resolution to myself, though, was to not shop often. I really don’t shop a lot. I only shop when I NEED clothes or wake up and suddenly hate my clothes, which happens a couple of times a season.

I ended up at the Garden State Plaza (best. mall. ever.) since Ulta ran out of my makeup and I had to buy it this weekend or else I would have no makeup and then that would be really scary. My boyfriend wanted to stop by Lucky Brand Jeans, so I figured I’d look around too, what the hell. Unlike most times in the past, I knew I would be able to buy something this time. I really love Lucky clothes, but it’s expensive to dress like a hippie and I won’t let myself spend $80 on a shirt. But this year will be DIFFERENT! I’m not going to throw $70 at a t-shirt or something, but I would try to be open-minded. Besides, I’m tired of being cheap. I deserve nice clothes. I work hard. I only live once, bitches.

There is something I love about jeans. Maybe it is their wear-ability as lovely little leg warmers. I really don’t know, but I’ve had the same ones for a while now and I’m starting to wear the color out. I have one pair of jeans from Lucky that cost me somewhere in the $200 range, but I had a gift card when I bought those. This time, the sales lady ended up somehow finding me $80 jeans! Cheap for Lucky! They fit nicely and aren’t loose or manly looking, which is a plus since I am a woman.

I also bought myself a striped navy blue and white shirt that isn’t up on their site. I am a sucker for stripes. One day soon, my closet will only consist of stripes and I will be the happiest person alive. The shirt cost about $50, but it’s good material, looks nice on me and isn’t a tank top, so it was worth the money.

Lucky was, and still is, having a promotion: Spend $100 or more, get 25% off. I ended up getting both items for about $90. That may not seem like a lot to some people, but I’m still getting used to spending $90 in less than an hour. At least I know these clothes will last me longer than a month.

I’ve had my current cell phone, an adorable little LG, since September 2008 and it’s been pretty awesome. It has great battery life and I’ve dropped it thousands of times and it never breaks. Seriously, amazing. I am not a techie or anything, and the only thing I use my phone for is making calls and texting, so I’m not completely sure why I’m so excited by the Verizon iPhone. But I think it’ll make my 40ish-minute commute to the city a helluva lot less painful.

I told myself I wouldn’t by an iPhone, though, until my phone breaks. I’m not ready to spend like $60-ish per month on a cell phone (nor is my bank account), so I’m going to attempt to hold out for a few more months. Also, everyone usually finds so many things wrong with the first of things, and they always end up coming out with the second generation only months later. I need to be awesome and have the latest shit, since I’ve been behind for the past two years.
